of times we go on a service call for something completely but happen to notice a problem. Some homeowners will go ahead with the recommended repair and some will leave it. The other day while checking a central air conditioning system in Staten Island, I looked over to the storage tank and noticed the hot water outlet was rotted. I said to to the homeowner that I would see if I could find the parts to the Superstor but no one carried the part. So I explained the risk to the customer that when I took off the piece I could not guarantee the tank outlet would not be destroyed since it was rusted in. In the pictures you can see this water tank was hanging on by a thread. It was only a very short time until this fitting broke loose and popped and flooded the house since it was on the second floor. Just a good tip to keep a lookout for.
